How much does siding installation cost in Pittsburgh?

How long does siding installation take?
Most siding installations are completed in 3 to 5 days, depending on the size of the home, the material and the weather.
What types of siding do you install?
We install James Hardie fiber cement and Mastic vinyl siding, including Quest Dutch lap and Ovation, in lap, vertical and mixed profiles. We can match your trim, soffit, fascia and gutters too.
Is vinyl or fiber cement siding better for Pittsburgh?
Both handle Pittsburgh weather well when installed correctly. Vinyl is lower maintenance and usually lower cost. Fiber cement is heavier, resists rot and fire, and suits older homes that call for a wood look. We walk you through both during your estimate.
Do you remove the old siding or install over it?
We recommend removing the old siding. It lets us check the wall, replace rotted sheathing, add a water resistant wrap and flash every window and door. Covering old siding can hide moisture problems that keep getting worse.
Can you replace just part of my siding?
Often, yes. Small areas of storm damage or a few cracked boards can be replaced. Older siding fades, so new panels may not match. We tell you honestly whether a repair will look right.
Does new siding lower energy bills?
It can. New wrap, sealed openings and tight trim cut down on drafts, and insulated siding adds another layer on outside walls, especially on older homes with gaps behind the old siding.
Will insurance pay for new siding after storm damage?
If your siding was damaged by a covered event such as wind, hail or a fallen tree, insurance may cover the repair or replacement. We document the damage with photos and a report and work with your adjuster throughout the claim.
